Reducing noise at source-always the primary solution-has been going on for decades. When used appropriately, the Balanced Approach has a solid track record of helping local communities manage noise concerns while enabling the economic and social benefits of aviation. Improved noise abatement operational proceduresįollowing these principles is of such importance that many countries have enshrined the Balanced Approach in law.
